Telemedicine Consults

Expert Care, From the Comfort of Home

$65

+ tax / per consult

Over Zoom. The carrier stays in the closet.

A telemedicine consult is a remote, virtual appointment where a licensed veterinarian assesses your pet’s health via video call. You’ll talk through what’s going on, review any relevant information together, and leave with a clear sense of what comes next.

It’s a straightforward way to get professional input on your pet’s health without making the trip down The Queensway β€” especially useful for anxious pets, multi-pet households, and schedules that don’t have an afternoon in them.

What a Consult Covers

Discuss symptoms and concerns, go over medications, test results, and records, and talk through what your options are β€” including whether an in-person visit is the better next step.

Telemedicine consults are also a practical way to get a second opinion. If you’re weighing a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a set of results from elsewhere, send the records ahead and we’ll go through them with you on the call.

What Suits a Consult And What Doesn't

Well suited to a consult

Needs an in-person visit

Telemedicine is intended for appropriate non-emergency cases only. An in-person examination or diagnostics may be recommended if necessary.

⚠️ In an Emergency, Call Us β€” Don't Book a Consult

Call (416) 201-9123 or go to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital if your pet is having difficulty breathing, has collapsed or is having a seizure, is bleeding heavily, has a swollen or hard abdomen, is straining to urinate without producing anything (particularly a male cat), has been struck by a vehicle, or may have ingested something toxic.

How It Works

01

Book your consult

Online or by phone. Tell us briefly what you’d like to discuss so the veterinarian can review the file beforehand.

02

Pay at booking

Payment is required before the consult begins β€” this is handled when you book, so there’s nothing to sort out on the call.

03

Send anything relevant ahead

Photos, video, and any records or results from another clinic. A short clip filmed while the symptom is actually happening is far more useful than describing it afterward.

04

Join the Zoom call

You’ll receive a link. Have your pet nearby and a light on.

05

Finish with a next step

Notes go into your pet’s record, and if an in-person visit is recommended, we’ll arrange it before the call ends.

What You Need to Know

$65 plus tax, per consult. Payment is required before the consult begins and is taken when you book.

Consults run over Zoom. You’ll get a link β€” join from a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and a reasonable connection.

Yes β€” send records, lab results, photos, or video ahead of the consult and we’ll go through them with you.

Telemedicine is for appropriate non-emergency cases. If an in-person examination or diagnostics are needed, we’ll recommend that during the consult and book you in.

Very common. Send video ahead of time instead; most of what’s useful is easier to capture on your own footage than live.
